Collecting, collecting!

Along with the locational collecting I have been making, I have been collecting other things too. I have been collecting receipts and used lottery tickets for the same purpose-to fire out of the clay. (Receipts for things purchased, lottery tickets as failed attempts to accrue money raising questions again about wealth and society and chance) Again there are obvious general personal links, but my mother is addicted (although she would argue not) to the lottery, so in a sense an addition of a lottery ticket is imbuing the clay with an association to my mother as well. In the same vein, I have collected some antique lace to soak in slip to again burnout. My mother was involved in the textile industry and now has a terminal lung disease related to cotton fibres.
