Back to the drawing board!

I have been reading The Art Of Work An Epitaph To Skill by Roger Coleman

felt I could draw a parallel to Icarus and Daedalus in that at times I sense my work is not skilled or well enough informed to be valid which could be part of my own crisis of masculinity . I remember watching my Father and Grandfather and teachers make sketches and diagrams with measurements and they always used the right tool for the right job. Whatever they did sketch and work out ‘mostly’ worked. I feel much of this has gone and in some ways wonder whether handing these things over to computers may have hampered not only creativity but a valued roll of work. I’m not sure…just a musing.
