...In reverse order...

So after some hoo ha managed to install wall. I think the floor is better grey as it is just enough to become anonymous , as in neither tonal or colour interference. All set up really apart from the light and AV

The audio recorded is from kilns going on and off, throwing wheels running and other mechanical sounds, slowed down and manipulated.

I have had so many issues trying to get the volume level right and have had to quickly learn how to use Audacity to adjust the amplitude of the audio and then marry that with the video I have included. I want large areas of sound without image so that the video is not interfering with sculpture. I also wanted to have no sound when the video is playing to provide a contrast .However I do want people to understand the process and materials, I think so the 'how I did it ' section is important...I think

I felt it important to include this as each exhibition installation brings new lessons to be learnt. We knew there would be issues with timing this exhibition, with the return from Portugal and the installation of the work in progress exhibition. Much of the installation was given over to the gallery and despite delivery of work beforehand, it wasn't quite how marion had imagined it installed. It raised issues and lessons about pre agreement of roles and expectations and the clarity between what an artist may want to do and handing that over to a curator.

With that in mind I had been called in to trouble shoot issues with plinths and lighting and this then had further curatorial problems.
