Pinxton Porcelain at the V&A

As a child I head a rumour about a pottery which once existed in my village.

Five years ago I visited the Victoria and Albert Museum and Was astonished to find examples of the pottery which originated from my village. When making enquiries about the pottery or about its location , very few people seemed to know it ever existed. With a little research I discovered that the Queen has a dining service produced from my village. This all heightened my interest in ceramics generally but what intrigued me most was that there was a strange serendipitous personal link to my own work.
