Exhibition thoughts

After the exhibitions in the last few weeks, a number of thoughts have arisen. Firstly that there is no rhyme or reason as to what the public will like and then buy. secondly that there is a very definite London Clique in Suffolk of good practitioners but who aren't perhaps pushing the boundaries of art particularly. They are however making a living from this. This takes me back to a conversation with David Walker Barker in 1997 about whether to try and make money by bastardising the work or working under a pseudonym for 'bread and butter money'..still have no answer for that one!
