Jim Robison Seminar

Jim is someone who I wanted to speak to for so long about this project. I know him in the sense that he used to be the ceramics tutor on a different course when I went to university. I was doing a painting degree, but I met him a few times.

When I came across his book about large scale ceramics, I knew I needed to talk to him about the problem I was having with scale. Sadly he is older, much like all of us and it took him time to remember who I was (if indeed he did, I have been there myself with ex students!)

I asked him whether he thought his method could work as a cylinder and not as an oval form and he said there was no reason why it shouldn't.

As part of my learning agreement I wanted to explore this method of construction to a large scale, to see if it might be suitable for my needs.
