I was really taken by This work as I had considered using layered 'platelets' in order to reference stratification during ASU2 but was concerned about the weight. Obviously working externally, this is less of a problem. I was also intrigued in his use of materials and the obvious link to heat process , weathering and geology which is something that is also relevant to me. Scale was an obvious link to the figure too. He says' ceramics is the most ancient art which links us to living time and remebered places we generate'.
